Bury St Edmunds won the National Beach Championships at a closely fought tournament this weekend in Bournemouth.
For the first time in several years, the Beach Championships took place over a weekend at Boscombe Beach at the popular resort.
After a close first day's play, National Champions Guildford and Bury Blitz drew a hard-fought game to tie the lead. Hosts Bournemouth finished the day in third behind the top two with Liphook (Hampshire), Portsmouth and Bury Blast finishing the placings.
The final day saw some great play and unfortunately some rainy conditions! In a fast-paced final, Bury Blast beat rivals Guildford in a convincing 33-20 win.
