The United Kingdom Men's Tchoukball Squad has been announced today. The squad is made up of some new elite players from the country's best performing universities. It also includes 3 of last year's Under 18s international team from the World Youth Tchoukball Championships in Austria.
The squad of 25 will work together building towards the European Tchoukball Championships in 2013. Head Coach Richard Jackson was keen to point out the long-term hopes for the squad:
"The huge success of tchoukball in key universities across the country is now paying off as for the first time, student players are feeding into the elite international setup. The combination of established talent and new faces gives a real opportunity to develop the squad over the next 2 years."
"I am also delighted that 3 of last year's Under 18 squad have made the transition through to the senior team. It will be a challenging time for them but it was impossible to ignore how much they have improved over the last 6-12 months."
After a 3 month selection period, including 2 trials and 3 rounds of the new National Championships, the squad below has been released:

After a 3 month selection period, including; 2 trials, National League Round 1 and the Bury Plate, the Great Britain Men’s Squad Selection Committee have convened and have decided upon the 12 men who have made the 1st team, and the 15 men who have made the Lions Developmental Squad.
