It’s with a heavy heart that our Euro 2020 Organising Committee has asked the International Tchoukball Federation (FITB) for postponement of the 2020 European Tchoukball Championships (ETC) and European Youth Tchoukball Championships (EYTC) due to take place 1-10 August in Leeds.
Dear athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters,
Over the past 3 weeks, Tchoukball UK (TUK) has met on several occasions to discuss how COVID-19 will affect the remainder of our 2019/20 season and how to best respond to the situation at hand. Having already cancelled the 2020 Finals Weekend (due to take place 30-31 May at Carnegie Sports Centre, Leeds Beckett University), we have now come to the decision to suspend all TUK activity until 31 May.
Tchoukball UK is looking for young athletes to represent Team UK in this summer’s European Youth Tchoukball Championships (EYTC) in Leeds, 6-9 August. The youth championship consists of three age categories for both girls and boys, M12s, M15s and M18s. And as a host nation, we are able to feature two teams in each category, meaning there is double the chance of getting selected!
Tchoukball UK is delighted to announce our successful bid to host the European Tchoukball Championship (ETC) and European Youth Tchoukball Championship (EYTC) 2020! The championships will take place at Leeds Beckett University (Headingley Campus), on the outskirts of the City of Leeds, 1-9 August 2020.
It will have been 10 years since the last European Championships were hosted in the UK - the 2010 ETC in Hereford - and this is a great opportunity for us to bring the best of European tchoukball back to the UK. Provisional details can be found below.
